The Full 9 Yards sponsored Blackburn Hawks are very pleased to announce the re-signing of Kieran Brown on a 2-way deal with the Sheffield Steelers.
Many of you will remember him icing for the Hawks last season and scoring 29 goals and 16 assists in 21 games for us
Kieran, a product of the excellent Bradford Bulldogs junior programme has already featured this season for the Steelers in the Elite league.
Whilst extremely happy to be with the Steelers, Kieran just loves to play every week and the Sheffield outfit are pleased to send him back to Blackburn to get the game time he needs to progress. He will still be training with the Elite League team and will be available to the Hawks when not required for them.
Steelers owner Tony Smith said,” Kieran is a fantastic young talent but like all young players, just wants to be on the ice every weekend. He thoroughly enjoyed his experience playing at Blackburn last season, joining up with players he came through the youth system at Bradford with. The deal will be beneficial for both Steelers and Hawks as he gets more ice time and continues to develop”
A delighted Head Coach Steve Duncombe commented,” Really pleased Kieran is coming back to us. He interacted very well with the team last year and will certainly add firepower to the forwards. Hopefully we will have his registration through in time for him to play this weekend.”
Kieran will wear jersey 72 for the Full 9 Yards Blackburn Hawks this season and his home and away jerseys are now available to ‘Own and Loan’ through our Own and Loan scheme please send your application to firstname.lastname@example.org
