Introducing…..The Hawks Match Night Coordinator

The Blackburn Hawks would like to welcome Chris Riley as the Match Night Coordinator.  Chris is well known within the club as well and being recognised throughout the North West as Mr. Dodgeball.  Chris has a degree in Sports Studies from Edge Hill University.

The role of Match Night Coordinator (MNC) has full control of the match night experience and is responsible for coordinating the volunteers on game nights and liaising with the rink to ensure that best match night experience possible.  The MNC will work alongside the team staff and the players to promote interaction between the team and the fans as well as ensuring that first time fans are made to feel welcome.

Although a big role it should be stressed that the sole responsibility for match night is not just the MNC’s but is shared with the volunteers, rink staff, players and the fans.  The best way to think of the MNC is as the ringmaster who makes sure everything runs smoothly and develops.

A meeting for existing and new volunteers will be arranged shortly and will be announced on the Hawks website and social media.
