The National League Management Group (NLMG) are pleased to confirm the schedule for the Midland Cup semi finals.
Following the round robin qualifying games, the four qualifiers are Solihull Barons, Sutton Sting, Blackburn Hawks and Nottingham Lions.
The semi finals will take place over the weekend of January 18/19. The tie between Solihull and Nottingham will be a single game due to shortage of available ice at the CCM Rink in Nottingham. The other tie will be over two legs with aggregate score deciding the finalists.
FIRST LEG – Saturday January 18Blackburn Hawks v Sutton Sting (face-off tbc)
SECOND LEG – Sunday January 19Sutton Sting v Blackburn Hawks (face-off 4.30pm)Solihull Barons v Nottingham Lions (face-off 5.30pm)
If aggregate scores are tied after 60 minutes of the second leg, then overtime and penalty shots will be played per normal NIHL rules.
The Midland Cup Final will be played over two legs on the weekend of February 15 and 16.
