Hot on the heels of the news of Corey’s announcement we can announce that our Assistant Coach will be returnee and Blackburn Hawks double winning champion, Lee Pollitt!

Forward Lee started his hockey career with the Manchester Phoenix junior setup before spending 2 years from 2013 with the Manchester Minotaurs and Widnes Wild.  Lee signed to play with the Blackburn Hawks 15-16 league and play off winning team quickly becoming a fan favourite at Blackburn Arena.

Last Season

Played: 45

Goals: 14

Assists: 19

James Neil commented on Lee’s re-signing:

“I’m really pleased to get Pol back for next season.  He is a player I can rely on during the game and has that winning mentality I want all the boys to have.  I’ll be looking for him to play a big role on and off the ice as he will be stepping in to help me with an assistant coach role.  I believe the more players at the club in a leadership role the better.”

Lee spoke of his delight at signing for the forthcoming season:

“I’m glad to be back in a Hawks jersey, looking forward to getting back on the ice with the boys and getting in front of the fans and putting on a show this season. With all the boys returning from last year and some added young talent we’ll be a tough team to beat.”
