Ravey’s Return

Blackburn Hawks are delighted to announce that Rick Ravey will be returning to the team for the 2019-2020 season.

Local lad Rick has spent most of his playing career with the Hawks apart from brief spells with the Flintshire and Manchester Phoenix junior set ups and was a member of the legendary ‘Invincible’ league and play-off winning team of 2014-2015, before taking some time out. Rick made his return to the Hawks last season but was unfortunate to pick up a couple of nasty injuries which kept him off the ice for some time.

We are sure you will agree that we are all looking forward to seeing more of what Rick is capable of and wish him all the very best for the season ahead.

James Neil on Rick’s return to the ice:

“I’m pleased that Rick has agreed to come back for next season. It was a tough year for him last season with some nasty injuries. I know he’s worked seriously hard off the ice to get in great shape and I’m looking forward to working with him again. He’s a great team guy and will give his all every night. He brings a physical presence and that’s something I think we need.

Rick’s thoughts on the upcoming season and his decision to re-sign:

“I’m looking forward to joining Blackburn Hawks again this season. I felt like I had a disappointing season last year with injuries. I will be looking to improve my game and have more of an impact on and off the ice.”

Own and Loan Shirt information will be released in due course.
