SKOOLS OUT AT THE NEST THIS SUNDAY
Chris Riley and his Community Project Team have been at it again. Amazing work in the community the last couple of weeks have resulted in over 250 tickets being sold for the match against the Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday evening, face off 1730hrs.
Families from the following schools in the North West will be shouting for the Hawks at the game:
St Marys, Osbaldeston
St Oswalds, Accrington
St Nicholas, Accrington
They are in for quite a night if the entertainment provided last weekend by the two teams is anything to go by. Hawks narrowly lost by the odd goal in 11 and are determined to set the record straight.
There is plenty of entertainment on offer at the game.
The usual Chuck a Puck, where you purchase a puck from the stall and throw it on to the ice in the second period break to try and win a prize.
50/50 draw tickets are also on sale and as it says on the tin, 50% of the takings go to the winning ticket holder and the remainder to the team.
Shirt off the Back – Purchase a ticket and you could win the shirt one of the Hawks players’ back and be presented with it by him at the end of the game.
There will be a shoot the puck station on the balcony during the first period break. 50p a shot with all proceeds going to Hawks Juniors.
As Valentine’s day is fast approaching there will be a Tombola running during the evening with many prizes. I have it on good authority from organiser Brenda, that there will be plenty of chocolate to be won.
To cap the night off, some of the players may be skating with the fans after the game.
All in all a fantastic night will be had by all with the Club Mascots on show to entertain the kids(and the adults too). Plenty of photo opportunities there to take home something to remember the best entertainment in the town.
