Hawks Continue Play-off Push

Full 9 Yards sponsored Blackburn Hawks , having secured a play-off place last weekend now turn to improving their league position. On the penultimate weekend of the regular season Hawks are now setting their sights on catching Solihull Barons for 6th place and a play off match up against the 3rd place team after the league concludes.

Hawks return to the nest on Saturday night with a game against table-topping Telford Tigers and recent results will give Hawks hope of an upset.

Telford are top of the league by 1pt from Hull Pirates and Sheffield Steeldogs and the race for the title is just as exciting as the battle for play-off positions. The three teams at the top play each other over the last two weekends and the title race will likely go down to the last day.

Hawks v Tigers face off at the usual Saturday time of 1800hrs.

Chris Riley and his Community Project team have worked wonders yet again and over 600 guests from schools and community outlets will be filling blocks 2 and 3 at the game.

On Sunday Hawks go to Sutton Sting, hopefully looking for successive 4 point weekends. Face off at Sheffield Ice arena is 1730hrs.
