Andrew Powell, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Healthier Heroes CiC commented on the partnership:

‘Healthier Heroes would like to announce that for the second year running we have form a 4-way amazing partnership between Depher CIC, Blackburn Hawks and the VLHM (Veterans Living History Museum).

The partnership is going to create amazing opportunities for members of the Armed Forces community and their families as it did last season with many of the community attending home games as well as the ‘Armed Forces Night’ Rembrance match that saw over 100 veterans and family members attend.

It is also a great way the too explore a new sporting event and enable them to socialise with a wider community and most of all enjoy a fantastic night out with the family or friends.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank both Depher, Blackburn Hawks and the VLHM for your continued support.’

Hawks Co-Owner, Carl Everitt was delighted to announce the continued partnership:

’Over the past 3-4 years, it has become apparent that supporting our community has become more essential than ever, therefore when an opportunity came along to support DEPHER CiC with their Community efforts and to also work with Healthier Heroes and their brave efforts supporting our armed forces veterans, it wasn’t one that I was going to ignore.

As part of #ProjectHawks  of the Blackburn Hawks, we have continued with our ‘Hawks In The Community’ Initiative whereby we continue to engage with hundreds of community organisations and schools across the season where we enable young people within our community to understand Ice Hockey and what a great match night experience there is right on their doorstep.

Getting the opportunity to support and work with DEPHER, Healthier Heroes and the VLHM through our community initiative over the next 2 seasons is a real passion of ours and I would like to thank them for their tireless work in our communities and we look forward to supporting their causes through the 23/24 and 24/25 seasons and beyond.’
