Dom on our meeting with Sutton.

I’m very happy we have managed to find an opposition that I know will work as hard as they can and give us a challenge for preseason. With the change in fixtures and layout to the season it saw teams in our league not able to or wanting to play us in preseason for various reasons.

I had started reaching out and Matt has a very strong team at the NIHL2 level. He agreed quickly as I’m sure they have aspirations to join our league in the future. It’s a one off game for both our teams to get back into game mode and looking forward to the challenge that Sutton will provide us. I watched them during the finals weekend and they were definitely a team that could have won it all. It should be an exciting game and a great hard warm up for the boys.

I’m delighted to be challenging ourselves against the best team in the NIHL 1 from last season.
We know that we will be up against it playing such a good team but we should be proud that Dom and his team think we are ideal preparation for their season.

We will come into Blackburn and give it our all and showcase all our home grown Sutton talent. We are a young team and going into our 4th season of the transition and things are going really well.

We look forward to the 24th and hope we put on a good game for the all fans.
