Our very own T-800 is back and he goes by the name of James Royds. Dom on Royds’ return:

I honestly can’t express how excited we all are to have Roydsey back. He was a player that last season I was asked to give a look and sign. I never did see him play nor skate. Let’s just say it didn’t take long for me to jump on the same boat the other guys were on when they said we needed him.

We knew he would be missing from time to time but the way he works and how respected he is amongst his peers it was never an issue. He’s a big game player and shows up to work every night. He continually got better as the season went and even though he’d keep saying he was just shaking the rust off I don’t believe there was a lot of it to begin with.

He’s an absolute ox and plays the game so strong. He’s hard to knock off the puck and plays a complete two way game. He plays so well defensively and has an unbelievable eye for offence. He is a great guy in the room and we are thrilled to have him back in any capacity.

Welcome back Roydsey.

Royds on his return:

Really glad to be signed with the Hawks for another season and I can’t wait to get back out there in front of the fans! There’s a lot of familiar faces and a few good additions to the squad so I’m excited to pick up right where we left off last season and get some more silverware for the club!
