What can I say about Ridz? He’s an absolute pleasure to have around the room. Calm, relaxed, and sometimes maybe a little too chilled for some people’s liking, but that’s just his style. After chatting with Ridz this season, I think we both agree there’s still a bit more he can give in certain areas. He’s an honest guy and has a knack for finding the open man better than most.
He’s also gone through a major life change, something many of us can relate to and it’s understandable if that affected his game last season. Balancing work and play isn’t easy, and that context matters.
That said, when you’ve got a great attitude and the respect of your teammates and coaches, you stick with guys like this. I know for a fact he’s already putting in the work this off-season to improve on the areas he struggled with, and I believe he’ll feel more settled when we get started again.
When he’s on, there’s no better playmaker in the league. Even when he’s slightly off, he still finds ways to contribute in a positive way. I’m really looking forward to having him back next season and seeing what he can accomplish. It’s a pleasure to have you back, Ridz.

It’s an honour to be asked back for another season with the Hawks. After last season’s disappointment from a silverware perspective, I know the lads are hungry to return and right those wrongs. Oz and Oll are building a team to take that extra step we needed last year, and I’ll be doing my part this summer to make sure I’m ready from the first whistle to the last.
Our fans are the best in the league, the support at home and away makes it a privilege to play for this club week in, week out. See you all in September.
