𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗼𝗺…

Having Royds back was key for us this season. Keeping our core group together was a must. He has been an absolute force for us, his work ethic is off the charts, and he loves playing with this group.

When he stepped away from hockey, I think he was ready for a break. But we’ve created an atmosphere where it’s hard to walk away and now that he’s back, it just feels right.

I knew right away, even though Royds had taken some time off, that Ollie was absolutely right about how well he’d fit in, both on and off the ice.

Of course, as a head coach, you do think twice when a guy who’s been away from the game becomes available again, you just don’t know for sure. But I’ll tell you this: we’re lucky to have Royds back in any capacity we can get him.

He’s second to none in the room, one of the best puck battlers I’ve seen in our league, and an absolute machine on the ice.

Great to have you back, Royds.
