𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗼𝗺…

It’s great to have Cade back with us this season. With the way the club has evolved over recent seasons, we had previously gone in a different direction focusing on youth development while still trying to remain competitive, which led us to part ways.

Now that we’ve shifted direction again and have players eager to join us, Cade and I began speaking shortly after the off-season. We had parted on good terms, and after a couple of seasons away, it felt like the right time to reconnect. Cade is a great guy and a good person, we know he’ll fit perfectly with the ethos of our locker room.

He wants a shot at silverware, and based on the current dynamics of our team, we believe he’s a strong fit for the roster we’ve built. He’s worked hard on his fitness and his game.  I noticed a clear improvement in the past two seasons playing against him. Now he’s had time away and is ready to return and compete.

Cade brings experience and a calm presence on the back end. He’ll add valuable depth to our defensive unit and help steady things when needed. We knew we needed more experience and leadership back there, and that’s why we made the decision to bring him in.

It’s great to have you back, Cade – can’t wait to get started.

“I’m really happy to be returning to the Hawks this season and rejoining the lads I’ve previously played with.

Having watched the team’s success over the past couple of seasons, I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to come back and contribute to continuing that momentum.

After speaking with Oz and hearing about his plans for the team this year, it was a no-brainer for me to sign with the Hawks and aim to compete on all fronts next season.

To the fans — Blackburn has always been one of my favourite places to play, so I can’t wait to be back on the ice with your support behind me and the team. See you in September!” #48
