𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗼𝗺…

There’s no doubt there will be a few changes this season, but Sammy is a guy who has absolutely earned the right to be here and to stay here. He’s played a utility role for us and not once has he complained when his ice time has dipped from time to time. He’s fantastic on the bench and in the room, working hard night in and night out with a great attitude. These are exactly the type of role players every team needs.

He’s been one of our most improved players over the last three seasons. His work ethic, attitude in the room, and willingness to learn are what make him so valuable to have around. Sammy will continue to play that role, and he does such a great job at it, for the good of the team.

We’ve built a well-rounded team this season, filled with guys who are willing to embrace their roles and support the team without disrupting the locker room. They get it and you simply can’t build a winning team without players like them. I’m looking forward to seeing Sammy improve once again this season. That’s all we could ever ask from him.

I’m delighted to be signing for the Hawks again—this will be my 7th season as a Hawk.

After speaking with Dom and hearing the plans he and Ollie have for the upcoming season, it was a no-brainer for me I wanted to be a part of it. Building on from last season, we’re determined to get the job done this time around.
