Chaz Commits to Another Season with the Hawks

The Blackburn Hawks are delighted to confirm that Chaz will return for the upcoming season, extending his stay with the club following a hugely successful campaign last year.

After joining the Hawks following over a decade with the Steeldogs, Chaz made an immediate impact both on and off the ice, quickly establishing himself as a key figure within the dressing room and on the scoresheet.

Coach Ollie was full of praise for the returning forward:

“Chaz is everything you look for in a teammate and in a dressing room. He has been around the game a long time and plays it the right way.

Coming in last year after over a decade with the Steeldogs, he fit in straight away. He takes control when he’s out on the ice and has a calming influence on his line mates — whether that’s bearing down on face-offs or simply making the right play at the red line and maintaining possession.

Not to do him a disservice, he also came up with some massive plays throughout the last campaign, including some huge goals… and cellys.

Dropping down and still posting north of 50 points shows the class that Chaz possesses. He makes the players around him better, both on and off the ice. He’s such a great human being.

To attract players of Chaz’s calibre — and then to retain them — really shows what a place Blackburn is to play. I’m looking forward to seeing Chaz keep his foot on the pedal and lead us into battle once more.”

Chaz was equally enthusiastic about returning to Blackburn for another season:

“I’m delighted to be back for my second season as a Hawk. After last year’s huge success in winning, in my opinion, the best three trophies up for grabs — especially that one in Coventry — it was a no-brainer for me to come back and try to do it all over again.

I’m excited to get going again with the boys and hopefully bring the fans some more memorable moments over the course of the season.

See you all at The Nest soon.”

With leadership, experience, and proven production, Chaz’s return is another major boost as the Hawks prepare to defend their success and push for more silverware in the season ahead.
