Hawks Welcome New Signing Owen Dell

The Blackburn Hawks are delighted to announce the signing of Owen Dell ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Owen joins the Hawks looking for a new challenge and arrives in Blackburn with an exciting combination of speed, skill, determination, and experience at both NIHL 1 and National League level.

Coach Andy shared his thoughts on the club’s latest addition:

“We heard on the grapevine that Owen was looking for a change and wanted to be part of a team challenging for silverware in a more senior and professional setting. After speaking with Owen, it was clear he’s a great lad and someone who will fit perfectly into our dressing room.

There’s a reason why he was part of the GB Under-20s squad during the 2021/22 season. He brings speed, grit, and determination to his game. He was always a pain to play against during his time with Leeds 2, getting under your skin in the right way, which is a trait that ranks highly on my list.

If you look at his goal tallies during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons with Invicta and Leeds 2, it’s clear he knows where the net is. He’s also no stranger to NIHL National hockey and has the skill set to progress back to that level again.

We’d like to be the club that helps him continue to develop, hone his skills, and push on to that next level.”

Owen is excited to begin his Blackburn Hawks journey and is eager to get started in front of the Hawks fans:

“To sign for the Hawks is super exciting. Coming to play against Blackburn is never easy, so to now be on the right side of that is something I’m really looking forward to.

I can’t wait to get going in front of this great fanbase and hopefully bring some silverware back to The Nest!”

Everyone at the Blackburn Hawks would like to extend a warm welcome to Owen and his family. We look forward to seeing him in Hawks colours as we prepare for another exciting season ahead.

Welcome to Blackburn, Owen! 🦅❤️
