Welcome back, Lee!

The Blackburn Hawks are delighted to welcome Lee Pollitt back for the 2026/27 season. Poll’s return is another huge boost as preparations continue for the defence of the league title and the pursuit of further success.

With excitement building ahead of the new campaign, Hawks fans will be looking forward to seeing Lee back on the ice in front of the Blackburn fans once again.

Coach Oll:

“Lee Pollitt is the epitome of the Blackburn Hawks. There’s no better way to describe what he means to this club.

A highly knowledgeable and versatile player, Lee can log huge minutes in every situation the game throws at us. For any coach, having someone like that in the lineup is priceless, so bringing him back for another season is massive for what we want to achieve.

Since moving back to defence, Poll has been an absolute warrior. From communicating on the ice and guiding those around him, to making huge shot blocks that lift the entire bench, he leads by example. One of Lee’s greatest strengths is his hockey IQ. He patrols the blue line exceptionally well during offensive-zone possession and consistently puts teammates into stride with his outlet passes.

As Poll enters this stage of his career, I’ve personally seen how much he has matured and how determined he is to win in Blackburn. He’s no stranger to the coaches’ office, and he’s someone I enjoy spending time with discussing how we can improve as a group.

Welcome back, Lee.”

Lee Pollitt:

“I’m really happy to be back with this group. To see where the club is right now is something special, both on and off the ice.

Winning the league again after 10 years was an incredible achievement, and then going one better by winning a national title in Coventry has only made me hungrier for more success.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to Dom. He’s made history at this club and it’s been a privilege to play for him over the last few years.

Thanks, Dom — see you around, buddy!”
