Welcome back, Ridz!

The Blackburn Hawks are delighted to welcome James Riddoch back for the 2026/27 season. A product of Blackburn hockey and a key part of the club for the last decade, Ridz brings experience, character and quality to the lineup.

Coach Ollie:

“Having Ridz back is a no-brainer. A Blackburn lad who has been part of the setup for the last decade.

Ridz is probably the most liked guy in the locker room. He keeps everyone loose, and I’ve never come across anyone who hasn’t enjoyed playing on a line with him.

Ridz is a passer, no doubt, but over the last couple of seasons we’ve encouraged him to shoot more, and he has most definitely become more of a threat in front of goal. Not only does he possess a great shot, but he also has a strong ability to redirect pucks from the point.

The club wouldn’t be the same without him, so welcome back, #28.”

James Riddoch:

“I’m pleased to be asked to return for another season with the Hawks.

Last season was a massive success for the club. Oll and McKinney are assembling a team ready to defend the silverware we captured last season, and I’m excited to be a part of it.

The fans were behind us every step of the way last season, and I hope to see you all back in September.”
