The Blackburn Hawks are delighted to welcome Tom Barry back to the club for the 2026/27 season. After an outstanding debut campaign in Hawks colours, #7 returns as another key piece of an exciting roster.

Coach Ollie:

“The place wouldn’t be the same without Baznasty! I’m absolutely buzzing to have Tom back at the club for a second campaign.

Bringing Baz in last season took our defensive unit to another level. We’ve got plenty of talent on the back end, but adding Tom gave us real depth and quality. Championships are built from the blue line out, and Tom Barry has all the attributes to be one of the very best defencemen this league has to offer.

Off the ice, Baz is the type of guy who keeps the dressing room loose and the atmosphere positive. But when it’s time to switch on, he makes sure everyone is dialled in and ready to compete. He’s an emotional player, and I absolutely love that. He cares about winning, he cares about the guy next to him, and he cares about performing to the best of his ability every single night.

We want to achieve great things this season, and to do that you need not only great players but great people. Tom Barry ticks every one of those boxes.

Welcome back, Baz. #7″

Tom Barry:

“I’m absolutely delighted to be back in Blackburn for another season. From the moment I arrived last year, I felt welcomed by everyone connected to the club.

The support from the fans was unbelievable all season, and it made playing in Blackburn a special experience. We achieved a lot together last year, but there’s still plenty more we want to accomplish as a group.

I’m excited to get back on the ice with the boys, build on what we started, and give everything I have for this club. I can’t wait to see everyone back at the rink in September. Let’s make it another memorable season!”
