The Blackburn Hawks are delighted to welcome Liam Charnock back for the 2026/27 season.

Coach Ollie on the return of Liam Charnock:

“Charns is so important to us as a team. He leaves everything out there and plays every shift like it’s his last. That’s the kind of mentality that keeps the opposition on edge because they know Liam never takes a backward step.

He’s a hugely likeable character in the dressing room and helps keep everyone accountable for the standards we expect. His compete level is what puts him in the upper echelons of talent in this league. Nobody outworks Liam Charnock.

With the arrival of Annabelle last year, Liam now has a young family, so it’s a big commitment for him to return season after season. Seeing Tammy around the rink as well just shows what Blackburn is all about. We’re a club with a real family feel, and that’s something that’s important to all of our players.

I know all of our supporters will be delighted to see Charns back in a Hawks jersey.”

Liam Charnock:

“I’m really happy to be back. It’s a lot of fun playing in Blackburn. The fans are always loud, and the club takes great care of us, which I think speaks volumes about the success we enjoyed last year. The team looks strong again this season, and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
