We are delighted to announce the return of Garry Simpson for the 2026/27 season.

After making a huge impression during his spell with the Hawks last season, Gaz returns to Blackburn ready to build on what was an outstanding start in a Hawks jersey. Everyone at the club is thrilled to welcome him back.

Coach Ollie on Garry’s return:

“To be able to welcome Gaz back to the club is massive for us, and I’m sure all of our supporters will be delighted to see him back in a Hawks jersey.

Gaz joined us towards the end of our recruitment last summer and made a huge impression on everyone connected with the club. He’s a quality player and an even better person, fitting into the dressing room from day one.

When his circumstances changed, it made sense for him to move back up the road to be closer to his family. At the time, we did everything we could to keep Gaz at the club, and we’ve stayed in regular contact ever since.

Now that he’s more settled in the North West, it speaks volumes that he was so keen to return to Blackburn. He was a standout performer during the early part of last season, and we’re excited to continue that journey together.

Welcome back, Gaz. We go again.”

Garry on his return:

“I was really gutted that my time with the Hawks was cut short last season, so I’m absolutely delighted to have the chance to pull on a Hawks jersey again.

I can’t wait to get back on the ice with a great group of lads and play in front of our incredible fans once more. The support we received last season was unbelievable, and it’s something I really missed.

I truly believe we’ve got another strong squad capable of competing for more silverware this season, and I can’t wait to get going.

See you all in the new season! 🦅🏒🥅”
