Early Entry to Hawks matches
In addition to the above admissions, this year fans will be able to gain early entry to the new and improved Arena Bar in the build up to the game.

For early entry, access to the arena will be from 4.00pm for an additional charge of 50p per head (£2.00 on family ticket). This charge is waived for all Hawks season ticket holders.

Once in the building, persons are restricted to the bar area until the normal doors opening time of 5.15pm. Persons must have their ticket on them at all times, and present this to Arena / bar staff when requested to do so. Anyone found without a valid ticket, or who leaves the 1st floor bar area ahead of 5:15pm will be asked to leave the building and may not be re-admitted.

No unaccompanied children under the age of 16 will be allowed early entry.

The taking of drinks from the bar area into the general seating area is now permitted. All drinks taken into the stands must be served in plastic glasses. Cardboard trays for multiple drinks will be available on request.

No glass products of any kind are permitted in the main arena area, including on the balcony.

After Match Skating
In addition the Blackburn Ice Arena will be introducing an after match skating ticket, allowing Hawks fans to take to the ice once the game has finished for a discounted price. This ticket should be requested on entry into the building, as it will not be possible to provide this discounted rate later. This will be available after any Hawks match.

The price is as follows:
Saturday Game £4.50 (Skate hire £2.00) , Sunday Game £3.00 (Skate hire £2.00)

One response to “Early entry and bar improvements for 2014/15”

  1. Roving Mick says:

This is good news. I really think the bar has been neglected for too long. What I enjoy about watching Hawks is being able to make a night out of the game, as well as watching the ice hockey. The bar could encourage fans to use the bar and build up a ‘culture’ of socialising together, similar to football and cricket fans. I see no reason why this couldn’t lead to a seven day a week culture, especially if the bar use could be built up, following interest from fans. It would be nice and opportunistic to bring a new watering hole to Blackburn for a change.
