Blackburn Hawks are pleased to announce the first two returning signings for the 2017/2018 season Oliver Lomax and James Riddoch.

‘Steven Duncombe’

What can I say other than I am over the moon to have two home grown players back in the Hawks team for the 2017/2018 season.  Olli is one of our best defense men and is now a veteran of the sport. He brings quality on and off the ice and I’m looking forward to seeing how he will work and improve younger players in this coming season.

Rids defiantly grew on me this past season.  He bring more than just points to the team he’s become the gel that holds us all together. He’s liked by everyone and is guaranteed to keep everyone’s spirits high.  When he decided he wanted to come, there was no doubt in my mind that is was a yes from both myself and Kinder.

I can’t wait to lace up my skates, get the team back on the ice and show what we are capable of ,against some very tough teams.

Keep your eyes peeled for more signing news coming soon.

Thanks for your continued supports

Dunc’s”

‘Oliver Lomax’

After a lot of thought and consideration I am delighted to return to the club for the forthcoming season.

I’m so energised and excited to be back in year two of our rebuild, after speaking heavily with Duncs I know what’s just around the corner……good times.  I need to have a veteran presence in the room and show leadership qualities out on the ice.  We are going to have a real good tilt in this new league format & I can’t wait to get going, hopefully with some real quality additions if Duncs’ targets come off.

Duncs is a great coach & I class him as a good friend now so I’ll do anything that he asks of me to help us achieve the team’s goals.

See you in September

‘James Riddoch’

I am very pleased to be signing for the Hawks again, everybody knew last season was going to be tough, but finishing in 3rd place and making those playoffs proved we still had a team that could compete with the best.

This season the league has changed and a couple of the EPL teams have come down into the NIHL North, the league is getting tougher and I am confident that Duncs will build another team that can compete for another successful season.

I’m looking forward to pulling on the Hawks Jersey for another season and progressing as a player.
