The Blackburn HAWKS will face rivals Billingham Stars in the first game of the North Cup this Sunday (29 September) at Blackburn Arena at 5 45pm.
It will be the first time the two sides have met since last year’s Playoff Final, where the Hawks clinched a famous first title in the North East.
The fixture is the opening game in a round-robin style cup competition that will see teams from across the north of the country compete.
The full cup schedule is yet to be made public by the EIHA (UK ice hockey’s governing body), but is expected in the next few days.
The clash with Billingham makes the coming weekend another double-header with the Hawks travelling to Telford on Saturday for a league fixture.
