Blackburn Hawks Ice Hockey Club are happy to be able to announce that Defenceman Chris Gee has been added to the Roster and will go straight into the line up against his former Club Deeside Dragons for this weekends double Header.
Chris is aged 24 and stands at 6.4” and has played in Manchester, Widnes and as mentioned above at Queensferry.
We’d all like to take this opportunity to welcome him to the club and wish him.
Coach Steve Duncombe commented. “He brings size and a physicality with him which is a trait we like here, he move well and can play, he’s been on with us for a while now and we took the decision to add him to the roster, he wants to be here and we want him here, it’s a good fit at a good time, I want to be able to have players looking over their shoulders and I want to be able to have to option to sit people if I have to, we’ve been a bit light D lately and this helps massively, I’ve also got Butler and Ollie back in the line-up this weekend so we are going to run with seven, which is great it gives me room for manoeuvre”
Chris himself said “I’m really happy with the move, I’ve been made to feel really welcome over the past few weeks by all the players and staff, it’s a massive club and I’m really excited to be joining, I’ll be giving it my all, I know there are some quality players in the team and the Imports are great too, it’s a good room to be in, as much as I’ve been happy at the other clubs this is my biggest move to date and I’m looking forward to the challenge, they are an extremely funny bunch of lads too, which always helps, roll on weekend.”
