The Blackburn HAWKS will battle the Royal Navy Kings Ice Hockey Team in a challenge game on Sunday 23 March at the Blackburn Ice Arena.

The Hawks, who will travel to Dumfries on the 12 April for the end-of-season Playoff Weekend, will use the game to gain valuable competitive ice-time as they look to defend their Playoff crown.

Player Coach Jared Owen said: “We’re grateful to Royal Navy Ice Hockey for agreeing to the game. With two weeks between the end of the regular season and the playoff weekend, it’s important to maintain our momentum and stay sharp – this game will certainly help us to do that.

“It may be a friendly, but we’re under no illusions; the Navy Kings will want to push us hard and we intend to give our all for the win. I hope that the Hawks faithful will turn out in numbers and give the team the perfect send-off before the playoffs.”
