Blackburn Hawks Team Management are delighted to be able to announce that forward Corey Stones will finally join up with the Team for the remainder of the season.

Corey first came to the clubs attention last season when he played for and impressed the team in their pre season victory over travelling Finnish side Viikingit.

Corey agreed to put pen to paper at the start of this season but at the Eleventh hour the deal fell through after Coach and Player could not come to an agreement.

Corey will go straight into the line up for this weekend’s Cup Match up in Whitley Bay.

Player Coach Steve Duncombe commented.

“When someone constantly shows up at your practice even though he’s from another club quite clearly tells me they want to play for your club, that surely goes without saying doesn’t it?

I’ve no interest in anything that’s from the past, he’s now our player, he already knows all the guy’s in the room and more to the point the boy can play, he’ll bring with him an attitude that I’m trying to sell to all the lads, he’s gritty and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, I like that, he’s my kind of guy”
