There’s still time to grab your ticket to see the Blackburn HAWKS defend their Playoff title this weekend in Dumfries.

There is good availability on both day and weekend tickets for the NIHL Moralee Conference Playoff Finals Weekend, which will see the league’s top four teams battle it out over two days at the Dumfries Ice Bowl, home of the Solway Sharks.

Saturday 12 April will see the first semi final, featuring the table topping Sharks, against the Whitley Warriors at 1pm. Blackburn, who finished second in the league standings, will meet the Billingham Stars in the second semi final at 4.30pm.

The second semi-final is a repeat of the 2013 final, where the Hawks secured a victory over the North East side to secure their first silverware in the clubs history.

The two semi final winners will then meet in the Moralee Conference Playoff Final on Sunday afternoon at 2.00pm.

The Awards ceremony will take place in the rink bar from approximately 8.00pm on Saturday evening.

EIHA Director and NIHL North manager Charles Dacres said: “We are looking forward to the playoff weekend and are grateful to Dumfries Ice Bowl for hosting this event.

“The playoffs in the NIHL North have been hotly contested over the past two seasons, and now in a weekend format I’m sure the intensity will be heightened even further.

“Fans of all teams in the conference are invited to join us in Dumfries for the playoff weekend, which we hope will become a fixture in the NIHL North calendar for future seasons.”

Prices for the Playoff Weekend start at £10 per game, with a two-day pass available for £25 (not including booking fees).
