The Blackburn HAWKS are pleased to announce that forward Aaron Davies will return to the side for next season – his 11th campaign in East Lancashire.
The popular player rejoined the Hawks last season, after a brief stint at Laidler Conference side, the Deeside Dragons, contributing 11 goals and 14 assists.
Crucially, his brace in the Moralee Conference Playoffs Semi-Final against the Billingham Stars helped seal a comeback that saw his side progress to the final for the third straight year – where the Hawks eventually lost to the Solway Sharks.
Head Coach Jared Owen said: “Aaron is a long-time servant of the club – he’s been here through thick and thin. He’s a hard-nosed forward who gives 100% and chips in with big goals.
“His goals in the semi-final against Billingham last year turned that game around and got us out of a hole. He’s a firm fan favourite and we’ll be looking for him to chip in with big goals and keep playing his hard-hitting style.
“Aaron is the kind of player teams love to have on their bench, and other teams hate to play against. He’ll have a big role to play for the coming season.”
