Bens back in Blackburn for another season, Dom had the following to say.

Ben is a guy who has made it through since trials my first year. He has taken steps forward every month that he has been with us. He still is young and needs to learn the game more and I believe he will do that with us.

We plan to keep him on the same arrangement as he is a guy we can count on to fill in the line up and play as well as hold the opposition accountable. We have seen him do it a few times now. We seen a couple liberties taken on us last season and Ben has no problem stepping in for his teammates. I will let him make these decisions more now as I feel I held him back a little the last couple years from it as there needs to be the right time and place.

He has completely changed his attitude from the start and works for everything he gets. He’s earned a right to be here and will continue to grow with us as he gets valuable ice time with the Aces. I feel that we have had to move him up a little sooner which saw his playing time decrease a little but we are a bit deeper with defence this season so he will get the all important ice time.

I feel with combined ice time with us and playing in bigger situations seeing the puck more with Aces this season he will become even more of a force to reckon with.
